The following standards for variable manufacturing overhead have been established for a company that makes only one product: Sta

ndard hours per unit of output 6.0 hours Standard variable overhead rate $ 12.40 per hour The following data pertain to operations for the last month: Actual hours 2,600 hours Actual total variable manufacturing overhead cost $ 32,870 Actual output 250 units What is the variable overhead efficiency variance for the month?

Answer:

$13,640 Unfavorable

Explanation:

Data provided

Actual hours = 2,600

Standard hours = 6.0

Standard variable overhead rate = $12.40

The computation of variable overhead efficiency variance is shown below:-

Variable overhead efficiency variance = (Actual hours - Standard hours) × Standard rate

= (2,600 - (250 × 6.0)) × $12.40

= (2,600 - 1,500) × $12.40

= 1,100 × $12.40

= $13,640 Unfavorable

Therefore for computing variable overhead efficiency variance we simply applied the above formula.

-BARSIC- [3]
Taking most as more than half, then more than half of good managers enjoy mentoring people and more than half good managers are people-oriented. So, necessarily the two sets overlap, meaning tha some good managers are both people oriented and enjoy mentoring.

Then the answer is yes, some people oriented individuals enjoy mentoring employees.

Ivenika [448]

Answer:

Instructions are listed below

Explanation:

Giving the following information:

The high-low method involves taking the highest level of activity and the lowest level of activity and comparing the total costs at each level.

Mountain has recorded the following for the past nine months:

January:

Number of Cavities= 375

Total cost= $5,300

February:

Number of Cavities  500

TC= 5,850

March

Number of Cavities 350

TC= 5,200

April

Number of Cavities 600

TC=6,250

May

Number of Cavities 325

TC= 5,150

June

Number of Cavities 475

TC= 5,700

July

Number of Cavities 525

TC= 6,100

August

Number of Cavities  575

TC= 6,300

September

Number of Cavities  450

TC= 5,550

A) Variable cost= (Highest activity cost - lowest activity cost) / (Highest activity units - lowest activity units)

Variable cost= (6300 - 5150) / (600 - 325)= 4.18 per unit

Fixed cost= HACost - (variable cost per unit * HAUnits)= 6300 - (4.18*600)= 3792

Fixed cost= LACost - (variable cost per unit* LAUnits)= 5150 - (4.18*325)= 3792

B)  Q= 400

Total cost= 3792 + 4.18*400= $5464

How supply and demand work together to reach the equilibrium price in the marketplace? Please give at least a paragraph. Thank y
grandymaker [24]

Answer

Before I answer this question, you must note that the equilibrium price is created by both the amount supplied of a certain product as well as how much "customers" there are (or the amount that is bought in all).  This however, is usually not taking account any potential competitors.

For example, let say that the price in creating the product (or buying) is $15. This means that right now, the company loses $15 for one of the products. To make a profit, the selling price must be >$15. However, (unless they are a monopoly, such as, for example, electrical companies) there are competitors that they must fight with to get customers. Of course, there are other things that can affect the price, depending on the demographic and area.

So how does supply and demand affect the equilibrium price? The limits of the supply & the amount of demand would help determine the price by the amount of people buying and the supply of the product.

sleet_krkn [62]

Answer:a.

It would increase by $500,000 multiplied by the reciprocal of the required reserve ratio.

Explanation:

A bank will often hold government securities as an asset. If a bank were to sell S500,000 in government securities to an individual who paid for the bond in cash and the bank placed this cash in its vault, by how much would the money supply change as a result  -  It would increase by $500,000 multiplied by the reciprocal of the required reserve ratio.

The money supply is the entire stock of currency and other liquid instruments circulating in a country's economy and is given by the formula:

MONEY SUPPLY = RESERVES X MONEY MULTIPLIER

Therefore the bank reserves increasing in the scenario will increase money supplier by the effect of the money multiplier or the reciprocal of the required reserve ratio.
