Answer:

Number who walk to school = 16

Step-by-step explanation:

If there are 42 students, and 23 girls, there must be 19 boys since 19 + 23 = 42.

If ten girls walk to school, then there are 13 girls left to sort.

Since 7 of the 11 students on the bus are boys, that means 4 girls ride the bus too, so we have 9 girls left.

All we have left is cycling, so 9 girls must cycle to school.

Now, all we have to do is add 6 and 7 since 6 boys bike and 7 boys ride the bus. That equals 13 boys who do not walk.

19 boys total - 13 boys who dont walk = 6 boys that walk.

6 + 10 = 16

Number who walk to school = 16

Which expression is equivalent to 4√6/3
Nookie1986 [14]

Answer:

\frac{4}{3}{\sqrt3}

Step-by-step explanation:

The question seem incomplete;

The full question is

<em>Which expression is equivalent to 4√6/3√2 </em>

<em></em>

Given

4√6/3√2

Required

Find equivalent

4\sqrt6/3\sqrt2

Rewrite Expression

\frac{4\sqrt6}{3\sqrt2}

Expand the above expression

\frac{4\ *\ \sqrt6}{3\ * \ \sqrt2}

Further split the fraction

\frac{4}{3}\ *\ \frac{\sqrt6}{\sqrt2}

Using rule of surds;

\frac{\sqrt a}{\sqrt b} = \sqrt{\frac{a}{b}}

So, the above expression becomes

\frac{4}{3}\ *\ \sqrt{\frac{6}{2}}

\frac{4}{3}\ *\ {\sqrt3}

\frac{4}{3}{\sqrt3}

At this stage, the expression cannot be further simplified;

Hence, 4√6/3√2  = \frac{4}{3}{\sqrt3}

Lin has picked 1 ½ cups of raspberries, which is enough for ¾ of a cake. How many cups does she need for the whole cake?
Llana [10]
Okay. So, based off of that, if you divide 1 1/2 (3/2) by 3/4, 3/2 * 4/3 is 12/6 or 2. 1/2 cups of raspberries is needed for each fourth of the cake. 1/2 * 4 = 2. Lin will need 2 cups of raspberries for the whole cake.
