William Apess is saying that when people go to work and enslave people for them to call that a “religion” is beyond words and is going against Gods word. He is also saying power is a privilege and you should never abuse it by doing things like murdering, because when you make your error and go against it it will lead to your fall.

It connects to power because it states, “power was not given to abuse each other”, this is an aspect of power because according to William Apess abusing power is just going to make things worse. This connects to wealth because in the text it says,” we should not murder or slay one another because we have power..”. In the paragraph William used the term power like wealthy and is trying to tell us that just because you have money doesn’t mean you have hw right to do other things like murder. This is also related to Morality because it states, “Outstrips the relevation of Gods word”. This is like his moral because William is trying to say that it’s basically a sin to enslave people and call it a religion.

Critics are people who have stated that evolutionary psychologists do:

  • Begins with an effect and they tend to work backward to give an explanation,
  • They seem not know the social and cultural influences.
  • They absolve people from taking roles for their sexual behavior.

Evolutionary psychologists respond that knowing more about our predispositions can help us overcome the factors above.
