A circle is 360 degrees.
So, 1/10 would be 36 degrees.
So, 3/10 is 36(3)=108 degrees.

108 degrees

-x^2+4x-4

dy/dx=-2x+4, d2y/dx2=-2

Since acceleration is a constant negative, when dy/dx, velocity, equals zero, it is at the absolute maximum value for f(x).

dy/dx=0 when -2x+4=0, 2x=4, x=2

f(2)=-x^2+4x-4=-4+8-4=0

So there is a maximum of zero

...

.5x^2+8x+5

dy/dx=x+8, d2y/dx2=1

Since d2y/dx2, acceleration is a constant positive, when dy/dx=0, it is at the point when f(x) is at an absolute minimum.

dy/dx=0 when x+8=0, x=-8

f(-8)=.5x^2+8x+5=32-64+5=-27

So there is a absolute minimum of -27

...

-2(x+1)^2+5

dy/dx=-4(x+1)=-4x-4, d2y/dx2=-4

dy/dx=9 when -4x-4=0, -4x=4, x=-1

f(-1)=5

So the vertex is (-1, 5) and the axis of symmetry is the vertical line x=-1

8x-5=-3(3-2x)
Sole for x
horrorfan [7]
The first step would be to simplify both sides of the equal sign as much as possible.
8x - 5 = -3(3 - 2x)
8x - 5 = -9 - (-6x)
8x - 5 = -9 + 6x

Next, you would need to combine like terms on both sides of the equal sign to one on one side of the equal sign and one on the other.
8x - 5 = -9 + 6x
2x - 5 = -9
2x = -4

Now, all you have to do is isolate the x. To do this, you would divide both sides by 2.
2x = -4
x = -2

I hope this helps!

3. Rhombus KLMN with vertices K(-3, 2), L(1, 4),
and N(-5, -2): (x,y) → (x+2, y-5)
Art [367]

The translated vertices of the rhombus are: K(-1,-3), L(3,-1), M(1,-5) and N(-3,-7)

The rhombus is a parallelogram which has all sides equal. the diagonals of a rhombus bisect at right angles. the difference between a rhombus and a square is that none of the angles of a rhombus are 90°.

To translate a figure with given co-ordinates into another figure with a particular translation we simply add or subtract the given values from the coordinates of the available points.

Given co-ordinates of Rhombus are K(-3, 2),L(1, 4),M(-1 ,0)and N(-5, -2).

The translation is given as (x,y) → (x+2, y-5)

So we calculate the coordinates as:

The translated co-ordinate K(-3, 2)→ K'(-1,-3)

The translated co-ordinate L(1, 4)→ L'(3,-1)

The translated co-ordinate M(-1 ,0)→ M'(1,-5)

The translated co-ordinate N(-5, -2)→ N'(-3,-7)

Hence the co-ordinates of rhombus translated by (x,y) → (x+2, y-5) are K(-1,-3), L(3,-1), M(1,-5) and N(-3,-7).

Estimate sixty-two percent of one hundred twenty-four.
Sergeu [11.5K]
Approximately 77

reasoning — 62% of 100 = 62
and ————— 10% of 24 = 2.4 * 6 = 14.4
———————— 62 + 14.4 = 76.4 ,
and i rounded up since i didn’t do the full 62% of 24 .
giving the estimated answer of about 77
