The question is incomplete, here is the complete question:

What volume (mL) of the partially neutralized stomach acid having concentration 2M was neutralized by 0.01 M NaOH during the titration? (portion of 25.00 mL NaOH sample was used; this was the HCl remaining after the antacid tablet did it's job)

Answer: The volume of HCl neutralized is 0.125 mL

Explanation:

To calculate the concentration of acid, we use the equation given by neutralization reaction:

n_1M_1V_1=n_2M_2V_2

where,

n_1,M_1\text{ and }V_1 are the n-factor, molarity and volume of acid which is HCl (Stomach acid)

n_2,M_2\text{ and }V_2 are the n-factor, molarity and volume of base which is NaOH.

We are given:

n_1=1\\M_1=2M\\V_1=?mL\\n_2=1\\M_2=0.01M\\V_2=25mL

Putting values in above equation, we get:

1\times 2\times V_1=1\times 0.01\times 25\\\\V_1=\frac{1\times 0.01\times 25}{1\times 2}=0.125mL

Hence, the volume of HCl neutralized is 0.125 mL

All of the following are true concerning enzymes, except that they:
suter [353]

Answer:

D (or E If properly listed to include the active site option)

Explanation:

A. Is true

Enzymes are organically biochemical catalyst and thus they can speed up the rate of chemical reaction in the body

B is true

They are catalysts as said earlier

C is true

They have active sites. An enzyme does not act on all substrates. They have particular group on which they can act. For example, we have carbohydrates enzymes that act on carbohydrates substrate only. This enzymes have no business acting on a protein substrate.

D. Enzymes are proteins

One of the important characteristics of enzymes is that they are protenious in nature

E. This is wrong. Enzymes like any over catalyst are not consumed in the course of the biochemical reaction

Describe the scale used to measure the basicity of a substance. Demonstrate how you could differentiate a weak base from a stron
amm1812

The scale used to measure the basicity of a substance is called the pH Scale. A base which when measured on a pH scale obtains a value greater than 7 but less than or equal to 10 is weak base and from 10-14 is strong base

Meaning of Base and basicity

A base is any substance that has the ability to accept hydrogen ion in water and also netralize an acid when mixed together.

Basicity is an attribute associated with the pH scale measurement of values above 7 to 14.

Basicity increases on the scale from 7 to 14. On the pH scale 7 is neutral. So the higher we go the more basic a solution becomes until it gets to its highest point which is 14.

In conclusion, The scale used to measure the basicity of a substance is called the pH Scale. A base which when measured on a pH scale obtains a value greater than 7 but less than or equal to 10 is weak base and from 10-14 is strong base

0.329 M copper (II) nitrate was reacted with 0.528 M potassium carbonate as follows: Cu (NO subscript 3 )subscript 2 italic (a q
EastWind [94]

Answer:

73.33% is the percent yield

Explanation:

Percent yield is defined as:

Actual yield (4.883g) / Theoretical yield * 100

Based on the reaction:

Cu(NO₃)₂(aq) + K₂CO₃(aq) → CuCO₃(s) + 2KNO₃(aq)

1 mole of copper nitrate reacts per mol of potassium carbonate.

To solve this question we must find limiting reactant. With limiting reactant we can find the theoretical moles of solid produced and its mass as follows:

Moles Cu(NO₃)₂:

0.1639L * (0.329mol / L) = 0.0539 moles

Moles K₂CO₃:

0.1639L * (0.528mol / L) = 0.0865 moles

As the reaction is 1:1, the limiting reactant is Cu(NO₃)₂.

1 mol of Cu(NO₃)₂ produces 1 mol of CuCO₃. That means theoretical moles produced are 0.0539 moles. And the mass is:

Mass CuCO₃ -Molar mass: 123.55g/mol-

0.0539 moles * (123.55g / mol) = 6.659g of CuCO₃ is the theoretical mass

And percent yield:

4.883g / 6.659g * 100

73.33% is the percent yield

The combustion of glucose produces water, carbon dioxide and energy. Plants perform the opposite of this reaction through photos
Illusion [34]

Answer:

The reaction for photosynthesis is

6CO2 + H2O + sunlight ---> C6H12O6

Explanation:

Photosynthesis is the opposite of cellular respiration because the products of cellular respiration are the reactants in photosynthesis (plus sunlight). So the water and carbon dioxide produced in the combustion of glucose is used in the synthesis reaction of photosynthesis.

Which option correctly matches the chemical formula of a compound with its
azamat

Answer:

B. NO₂, nitrogen dioxide

Explanation:

Nitrogen dioxide is one of the oxides of nitrogen. It reacts highly and is very harmful for the health of humans. It is regarded as one of the pollutants of the air pollution. The chemical formula of Nitrogen dioxide is NO₂. This gas is produced during the manufacturing of the fertilizers in the industries. Burning of the fossil fuels also contribute in the emission of nitrogen dioxide. Two atoms of oxygen when reacts with one atom of Nitrogen, Nitrogen dioxide is formed.
