Based on experimental data, the function T(x) = -3(x − 4)3 + 10 models the temperature of a special substance after being placed

in a freezer for x minutes . The turning point of the graph marks the moment when the substance changes from a liquid to a solid. Using complete sentences in your written answer, EXPLAIN to your fellow scientists how to find the turning point of this function.
Hint: The turning point of the graph is similar to the vertex of a quadratic function.

If I assume you meant

-3(x-4)^{2}+10

Then the answer is at 4 minutes. This is just the vertex form of the parabola which is

y=a(x-h)^{2}+k

where (h,k) is the vertex. h = 4 so the vertex is at 4 in the x-axis, or in the context of the problem it means at 4 minutes.

Write the relation as a set of on rdered pai
kirill115 [55]

The relation as a set of ordered pairs is d. {(–2, 1), (0, -1), (2, -3)}.

Step-by-step explanation:

Step 1:

First, we plot the three points on the given graph.

The coordinates are given in the following form (x coordinate, y coordinate) where the symbol of the coordinates depends on the quadrant on which the point lies.

For the first quadrant, both x and y values are positive.

For the second quadrant, the x value is negative but the y value is positive.

For the third quadrant, both the values of x and y are negative.

For the fourth quadrant, the x value is positive but the y value is negative.

Step 2:

The first point has an x value of 2 and a y value of 1 since it is in the second quadrant, the coordinates are (-2, 1).

The second point has an x value of 0 and a y value of 1 since it is in the third or fourth quadrant, the coordinates are (0, -1).

The third point has an x value of 2 and a y value of 3 since it is in the fourth quadrant, the coordinates are (2, -3).

So the coordinates are {(–2, 1), (0, -1), (2, -3)} which is option d.

What is the volume of the ones that have it and how do I find the expression
kherson [118]

Answer:

For the shape you must do 3*3*3 + 2*2*2 + 1 unit cubed, or 36 units^3

For Jessy's jewelry box, you must multiply the side lengths, 3*10*3, or 90 inches^3
