A child pulls on a wagon with a horizontal force of 75 N. If the wagon moves horizontally a total of 42 m in 1.5.0 min, what is

Answer:

B) 35 W

Explanation:

Force applied by child =  75 N = F

Distance travelled by child = 42 m = d

Time traveled for is 1.5 min = 1.5×60 = 90 seconds = t

Work done by the child

W = Fdcosθ

⇒W = 75×42cos0

⇒W = 3150 Joule

Power is defined as work done per unit time

P=\frac{W}{t}\\\Rightarrow P=\frac{3150}{90}=35\ W

∴ The average power generated by the child is 35 W

scientific endeavor is a purely positive action that does not sometimes cause potentially harmful results.
Naya [18.7K]
I think that the question is simply asking whether the statement is correct.

The statement is wrong! The scientific endeavor (the work of the scientists, the pursue of knowledge) can be potentially harmful. For example, many tests of human medicine have to be performed on animals, and often the medicine causes great suffering in the animals (and gets rejected for testing on humans).

Expressing Experimental Error If the accepted value of π is 3.1416, what are the fractional error and the percent error of the e
LUCKY_DIMON [66]

Answer:

1) Δx  = 0.16 m / s² ,   Δx = 9.72-9.8 = 0.08 m / s²

2)  e% = 1.63% , ,   e% = 0.816%

3)           1e% = 0.04

Explanation:

The fractional error in a quantity is the absolute error between the accepted value of the quantity and the percentage error is the fractional error per 100

In this case, it is not indicated which is the measured experimental value of pi, suppose that a value of 3.142 is measured

fractional error

                 e = (ax - ax_average) / x_average

                 e = (3.142 - 3.1416) / 3.1416

                 e = 1.27 10⁻⁴

the percentage error is

                 % = e 100

                 % = 1.27 10-4 100

                 % = 1.27 10⁻²%

1) Δx = 9.96-9.8 = 0.16 m / s²

            Δx = 9.72-9.8 = 0.08 m / s²

2) the percentage difference

 x = 9.96 m / s2

             e% = (9.96 - 9.80) / 9.80 100

             e% = 1.63%

x = 9.72 m / s2

             e% = (9.72 -9.80) / 9.80 100

              e% = 0.816%

3) the mean value is

                x_average = (x1 + x2) / 2

               x_average = (9.96 + 9.72) / 2

               x_average = 9.84 m / s2

               e% = (9.84 - 9.80) / 9.80 100

             1e% = 0.04

kodGreya [7K]

Answer:

Explanation:

height of the building h = 15 m

initial vertical velocity u = 0

v² = u² + 2 g h

u = 0 , final velocity after falling height h

h = 15

v² = 2 x 9.8 x 15

v = 17.14 m /s

. Time of fall be t

h = 1/2 g t²

15 = 1/2 x 9.8 x t²

t = 1.749 s

This time will be required for truck to come under the building .

speed = distance / time

distance = speed x time

= 22 x 1.749

38.5 m

Truck should be at a distance of 38.5 m . when the stuntman starts falling .
