Steffania will no longer retains the ability to track the movement of objects with her head and eyes when her Tectospinal tract is damaged. The Tectospinal tract functions as a mediator between the involuntary postural motion of the head when responding to "sight and sound" reactions.
Also, it functions for movement impulses that is developed from the midbrain to the opposite side of the body.
In humans, the tectospinal tract helps in the coordination of the movement of the eye and head. It helps in activating motor impulses from one side of the brain to muscles found on the opposite side of the body. Once the tectospinal tract is damaged, it will become really difficult for it to act as a mediator in the postural head movements in response to auditory or visual stimuli.
