Answer:

C₂ = 0.056 ppm

Explanation:

Given data:

Initial volume = 2.0 mL

Initial concentration = 7.0 ppm

Final volume = 250.0 mL

Final concentration = ?

Solution:

Formula:

C₁V₁ = C₂V₂

C₁ = Initial concentration

V₁ = Initial volume

C₂ = Final concentration

V₂ = Final volume

Now we will put the values in formula.

C₁V₁ = C₂V₂

7.0 ppm × 2.0 mL = C₂ × 250.0 mL

C₂ = 14.0 ppm.mL /250.0 mL

C₂ = 0.056 ppm

Give the number of particles of each element in NH3, ammonia.
Y_Kistochka [10]
You'll need Avogadro's number for this. NH3 has 1 Nitrogen and 2 Hydrogen. You'll multiply the molar mass of each times Avogadro's number. So:

molar mass N x 6.022x10^23 x 1 Nitrogen= total A

Molar mass H x 6.022x10^23 x 2 Hydrogen= total B

Add total A+B = your answer

I don't have a calculator or periodic table but if you plug in the numbers you'll get your answer. Hope it helps.

Select the expression that is equivalent to 3x105+5x108.
VashaNatasha [74]
When you're dealing with scientific notation (especially when you use an order of operations such as adding on it), it's important to know that you cannot add 10^2 to 3 (for example).

(3 x 10^5) + (5 x 10^8)

When adding exponents, you're only adding the exponents together and not changing the original number (10).

5 + 8 = 13

We now have a sum of 3x5 x10^13

Multiply 3 by 5 to get your new expression.

3 x 5 = 15

15 x 10^13 is what we're left with.

Your answer is A.)

I hope this helps!
