Question 9

For this question, you work out the areas of the different shapes - the two triangles and the large rectangle.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
To get the area of the rectangle, you must use a ruler to measure out the:
height of the shape and the base of the shape

(try to be as accurate as possible when measuring)

Then to get the area of the rectangle, multiply the Height by the Base.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the triangles, you measure the out the base and the height .
Then you use the formula for the area of a triangle, which is:

Height x Base x \frac{1}{2}

So, you measure out the base and height of one triangle, then use the formula to work out the area, then you do the same for the second triangle.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Finally, you add up all of the areas:

Total area = area of rectangle + area of first triangle +area of second triangle

then you choose the option that is closest to your answer (remember to be accurate with the ruler!)

Question 10

Lets say we wanted to know how much 10 bottles of water cost

To do this, we would multiply the number of water bottles we want (which is 10) by how much one water bottle costs.

Lets say one water bottle costs £1.
We would multiply the £2 by 10 (which is the number of water bottles)

So 10 water bottles would cost :   £2 x 10 = £20

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Now lets apply this knowledge to the question:

The ANSWER would be:
G) multiplying n by the cost of one bottle

To get the total total cost, we multiply the number of bottles we buy by the cost of one bottle
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Question 11

For this one, we are told that the company charges $40 for hooking a vehicle.
We are also told that they charge $1.70 for each mile the vehicle is towed.

Therefore the ANSWER would be;

B)
c = 40 + 1.70m

$1.70m means $1.70 times the number of miles, and we are told that they charge 1.70 for every mile.

7a^3(6a^2 + a)^2 - 4a^6

All we have to do here is basically add and subtract exponents!

(6a^2 + a)^2 = 36a^4 + a^2

7a^3(36a^4 + a^2) - 4a^6

252a^7 + 7a^5 - 4a^6

2 üssü 12 demek 2'yi 12 defa yanyana yazmak demektir yani 2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×2×=4096 eder.

şimdi diğerini yapalım aynı şekilde yapmış olursak 25×25 =625 eder

Which statement is an example of an alternative hypothesis? A. A particular industrial process manufactures windshields with an
Korolek [52]

Answer:

B. The average quantity of detergent put into a box by a filling machine greater than one pound

Step-by-step explanation:

The null hypothesis (H0) tries to show that no significant variation exists between variables or that a single variable is no different than its mean While an alternative Hypothesis (Ha) attempt to prove that a new theory is true rather than the old one. That a variable is significantly different from the mean. From the case above option B "The average quantity of detergent put into a box by a filling machine greater than one pound" tries to establish a difference between the variable ("quantity of detergent put into a box by a filling machine") is different from its average/mean
