There's a catch here, and I don't really want to go into full detail. Because of
this catch, I think it would be unusually tough to write a simple equation for this
situation. If you wouldn't mind, let's just list it instead:

After . . water added . . total in pool

7 min . . . 14 gallons . . . 14 gallons
1 more . . 1 gallon . . . . . 15 gallons
7 more . . 14 gallons . . . 29 gallons
1 more . . 1 gallon . . . . . 30 gallons
5 more . . 10 gallons . . . 40 gallons, the pool is full

Add up all the minutes: 21 minutes

It would take 21 minutes
As the first 8 minutes there would be 15 gallons in the pool
In 16 minutes there would be 30 gallons in the pool
Therefore you only need 10 gallons left which will be filled up in the space of 5 minutes

You have a normal distribution of hours per week that music students practice. The mean of the values is 8 and the standard devi
Alona [7]

Answer:

38%

Step-by-step explanation:

Given that X,the hours per week the music student practice follow a normal distribution.

X:N(8,4)

We have to find the percentage of students who practice between 6 and 10 hours.

6<x<10 implies converting to z

We know z = (x-mean)/sigma = (x-8)/4

Hence 6<x<10 is equivalent to (6-8/4)<Z<(10-8/4)

= |z|<0.5

From std normal table we find this area equals = 0.1915+0.1915

=0.3830 = 0.38 (rounded off)

Hence required percentage = 0.38x100 = 38%

Factor completely, then place the answer in the proper location on the grid.

a^6 - 25b^2
Solnce55 [7]
This is the difference of 2 squares

square root of a^6 = a^3
and square root of 25 b^2 = 5b so we get

(a^3 + 5b)(a^3 - 5b)

Thats the answer
