What is the difference between liquid and fluid friction

Physics

Friction is used to refer to forces that resist relative motion, in general,whereas viscosity refers specifically to resistive forces that occur between layers of a fluid when fluids attempt to flow. Fluid friction is the force that resists the movement of a solid object through a fluid(liquid or gas). Sky divers falling down through the sky experience a type of fluid frictioncalled air resistance.

1. A huge spool of wire, 10,000 meters long, weighs 81.34 N. You cut off a meter or so and tie it between two posts, 0.660 m apa
WARRIOR [948]

Answer:

The beat frequency is 6.378 Hz.

Explanation:

Given that,

Length of wire = 10000 m

Weight = 81.34 N

Distance = 0.660 m

Tension = 52 N

Frequency = 196 Hz

We need to calculate the mass of the wire

Using formula of weight

W= mg

m = \dfrac{W}{g}

Put the value into the formula

m=\dfrac{81.34}{9.8}

m=8.3\ kg

The mass per unit length of the wire

m_{l}=\dfrac{m}{l}

Put the value into the formula

m_{l}=\dfrac{8.3}{10000}

m_{l}=8.3\times10^{-4}\ kg/m

We need to calculate the frequency in the wire

Using formula of frequency

f_{w}=\dfrac{1}{2l}\sqrt{\dfrac{T}{m_{l}}}

Put the value into the formula

f_{w}=\dfrac{1}{2\times0.660 }\sqrt{\dfrac{52}{8.3\times10^{-4}}}

f_{w}=189.62\ Hz

We need to calculate the beat frequency

Using formula of beat frequency

f_{b}=f_{in}-f_{w}

Put the value into the formula

f_{b}=196-189.622

f_{b}=6.378\ Hz

Hence, The beat frequency is 6.378 Hz.

Georgia is jogging with a velocity of 4 m/s when she accelerates at 2 m/s2 for 3 seconds. How fast is Georgia running now?
professor190 [17]
Georgia is moving by uniformly accelerated motion, with initial velocity
v_0 =4 m/s
and with constant acceleration  of
a=2 m/s^2
so her velocity at time t is given by
v(t) = v_0 + at = 4 m/s + (2 m/s^2)(3 s)= 10 m/s
So now Georgia is running at 10 m/s.

Find the magnitude & direction: 50N 25 N 35 N 10N
adoni [48]

F1x + F2x = Rx

↓

Rx = F1x + F2x

↓

Rx = F1 cos45° + F2

↓

Rx = (50N)(cos45°) + 60N

↓

Rx = 95N

Similarly, if we sum all the y components, we will get the y component of the resultant force:

F1y + F2y = Ry

↓

Ry = F1y + F2y

↓

Ry = F1 sin45° + 0

↓

Ry = F1 sin45°

↓

Ry = (50N)(sin45°)

↓

Ry = 35N

At this point, we know the x and y components of R, which we can use to find the magnitude and direction of R:

Rx = 95N

Ry = 35N

Can an electron be found in an exact spot within an atom
jolli1 [7]
No, it is impossible to determine the exact location of an electron. This is because electrons don't have a definite position, and direction of motion, at the same time and its movements are unpredictable
