*I do not know which story this is referring to, so I cannot write about how the king speaks. I will write about a way I think an extremist can be negative and positive.*
An extremist is someone who goes to great lengths to show or defend something they believe in. Extremists will sometimes take their own live or take others lives to justify their own beliefs. An example of this could be the opinions on abortion. An extremist that is very pro-life may murder a doctor who has performed an abortion. However, extremism is not always a bad thing. Sometimes the motive behind extremism is to correct injustice. Back in the 1830s, some people began becoming extreme in their efforts to abolish slavery. People threatened to commit violent acts which created terror. But really, this created terror was for a good cause. There were many other times in history such as voting rights and segregation, where good extremists were in play. It all depends on the situation and perspective. Not all extremists are the same.
