I believe you would first check the river to make sure it's polluted then you would have to check how/if the chemical plant is involved. Also see if other factors other than the chemical plant is contaminating the river.

I hope this helps!

Looking at the chemical reaction provided here, propose a different method that could be used to measure amylase activity: Starc
Anna007 [38]

Answer:

Starch + H2O = maltose

This reaction gives the Starch and H2O as the reactants and Maltose as the product.

Amylase is an enzyme which helps in the digestion of Starch molecules and its activity can however be measured through careful monitoring of the disappearance of amylase substrate which is in this case, starch.

When utilizing a KO mouse model, you want to see if introducing the dystrophin gene can rescue the DMD mouse model. Propose a me
-BARSIC- [3]
<h2>CRISPR/Cas9</h2>

Explanation:

CRISPR can be used to reintroduce dystrophin back into the KO mouse

  • CRISPR stands for Clustered Regularly Interspaced Short Palindromic Repeats and is used to for gene editing
  • CRISPR/Cas-mediated genome editing has been shown to permanently correct DMD mutations and restore dystrophin function in mouse models
  • Germline editing by injecting zygotes with CRISPR/Cas9 editing component was first done in mdx mice by correcting the mutated exon 23
  • Postnatal editing of mdx mice was then achieved using recombinant adeno-associated virus to deliver CRISPR/Cas9 genome editing components and correct the dystrophin gene by skipping or deleting the mutated exon 23 in vivo
  • Germline and postnatal CRISPR/Cas9 editing approaches both successfully restored dystrophin function in the mice and same technique can be used for KO mouse model

Structural proteins that typically assemble into large cables or threads, to provide mechanical support to cells or organisms ar
ollegr [7]

Answer:

Fibrous

Explanation:

Proteins are assembled according to their functions. Fibrous proteins usually provide protection and support to cells. They are made up of polypeptides that have elongated shape and assembles in large cables or threads. These proteins are differentiated from globular proteins by their globular form and repeated units of amino acids.

For example the fibrous proteins involved in horns, hair and nails is alpha-keratin.  Elastin found in skin and ligament is also a fibrous protein. Collagen includes collagen fibrils that have tensile strength of steel is also a fibrous protein found in cartilages and bones.
