The LaSalle High School senior class raised funds for an end of the year cruise getaway. The city gave them a special package fo

r the port fees and taxes - a flat fee of $1,500 for the entire class's port fees and taxes. It costs $367 per student to board the cruise. If your class raised $16,600, how many students can attend?

First you take the the class raised $16600 and than you subtract the port fees and taxes $1500 and you take that total and divide by the cost per student $367 and you will get the amount of students that can go just round to the nearest whole number because you can't have parts of people.

To find this answer, first subtract 1,500 from the amount your class raises (16, 600) so you are just left with the 'leftover' money for students to board.

16600-1500= 15100.

Then, divide 15100 into 367 to find out how many can go.

15100/367= 41.1444. Round down to 41.

41 students can attend, and there will be a bit of leftover money. (if you want to figure out how much is left over, multiply 41 by 367, and then subtract 15100 by the product)

Express each of the following in terms of a reference angle. Explain, please.
Firlakuza [10]
Sin 45 = sin 45
sin 135 = sin (180 - 45) = sin 45
sin(225) = -sin(180 + 45) = -sin 45
sin 315 = -sin(360 - 45) = -sin 45

cos 224.5 = -cos(180 + 44.5) = -cos 44.5
cos 658 = cos(658 - 360) = cos 298 = cos(360 - 62) = cos 62
cos 145.7 = -cos (180 - 34.3) = -cos 34.3
sin (-201) = sin (360 - 201) = sin(159) = sin (180 - 159) = sin 21
