I think its about 95 because you basically divide 19 by 12 and get 1.583 then you would multiply that by 60 or the amount of seconds in a minute. Hope this helps

So since Eric can do 19 push-ups in 12 seconds, we can figure out how many he can do in one minute by multiplying 19 by 5, because 5×12=60 (and 60 seconds is one minute) 19×5=95.

Eric can do 95 push-ups in one minute.

Virty [35]

Total height of the cake and the candles is 17.1 cm

Step-by-step explanation:

  • Step 1: Convert the mixed fractions into decimal expressions.

11 7/10 cm = 117/10 = 11.7 cm

5 4/10 cm = 54/10 = 5.4 cm

  • Step 2: Find total height of the cake and the candles

Total height = 11.7 + 5.4 = 17.1 cm

Delaware was the first state to enter the Union and Hawaii was the 50th. If we order the positions of entry for the rest of the
Anna71 [15]

Answer:

State A was the <u>12th</u> state to enter the Union. State B was the <u>11th</u> state to enter the Union.

Step-by-step explanation:

Let's call x to the order-of-entry of State B, therefore the order-of-entry of State A is x+1. Given that he product of their order-of-entry numbers is 132:

x*(x+1) = 132

x² + x - 132 = 0

Using quadratic formula:

x = \frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 -4(a)(c)}}{2(a)}

x = \frac{-1 \pm \sqrt{1^2 -4(1)(-132)}}{2(1)}

x = \frac{-1 \pm 23}{2}

x_1 = \frac{-1 + 23}{2}

x_1 = 11

x_2 = \frac{-1 - 23}{2}

x_2 = -12

The negative solution has no sense in the context of our problem, then the solution is x = 11.
