you add the amount of people in each section that fits into the category. So, 11 people from 6-6:29 and 15 people from 6:30-6:59 and then 8 people from 7:30-7:59 so you get 34 people total

The first, fourth and fifth ones are linear. 

The second, third and sixth are all nonlinear.

You can tell this by the fact that their lead exponents are not 1.

I need the answer for part a and b I don't understand it

To find Part A, take 3 2/3 and multiply that by 1 1/2 to get the amount of cherries. Then, you can simplify that answer if needed. For Part B, add 3 2/3 + x (number of pounds for red cherries) to get the answer to Part B. If you need help multiply for Part A, just let me know and I could help! :)
