You are riding the swings at a fair. What are the coordinates of your location after a rotation of 180°?
nekit [7.7K]

Answer:

(6, -3)

Step-by-step explanation:

The actual coordinates are x = -6 and y = 3

If we rotate 180 degrees and the center of rotation is at (0,0), all we need to do is invert the signal of each axis, that is, we invert the sign of the original x-coordinate and invert the signal of the original y-coordinate.

So the final x-coordinate is - (-6) = 6

And the final y-coordinate is - (3) = -3

So the coordinates will be (6, -3).

Select the equation that contains the point (3, -9), and in which the graph of the line has a positive slope.
Kamila [148]
First thing to do is to solve each of these for y.  The first one is y=-4x-3; the second one is y=4x-21; the third one is y=4x+21; the fourth one is y=-4x+3.  From that you can tell the positive slopes are found in the second and third equations.  Those are the ones we will test now for the point (3, -9).  y=-9 and x=3, so let's fill in accordingly.  The second equation filled in is -9=4(3)-21.  Does the left side equal the right when we do the math?  -9=12-21 and -9=-9.  So the second one works.  Just for the sake of completion, let's do the same with the third: -9=4(3)+21.  Does -9=12+21?  Of course it doesn't.  Our equation is the second one above, y+9=4(x-3).

2w-6+w+5 how do you work this problem
sergejj [24]

You combine the numbers that have the same letter attached to them. Then you add or subtract the bumbers from each other to. After that you make the numbers and the numbers with letters into one equation

Ex: 13+5r+7r= 13+12r

Step-by-step explanation:

2w+w=3w If theres a letter by itself it means theres a 1.
