What is the solution to the system of equation?<br> -3x-4y-32= -7 <br> 2x-6y+2=3 <br> 5x-2y+5z=9
sertanlavr [38]
<span>Simplifying 8x + 336 = 336 + -3x Reorder the terms: 336 + 8x = 336 + -3x Add '-336' to each side of the equation. 336 + -336 + 8x = 336 + -336 + -3x Combine like terms: 336 + -336 = 0 0 + 8x = 336 + -336 + -3x 8x = 336 + -336 + -3x Combine like terms: 336 + -336 = 0 8x = 0 + -3x 8x = -3x Solving 8x = -3x Solving for variable 'x'. Move all terms containing x to the left, all other terms to the right. Add '3x' to each side of the equation. 8x + 3x = -3x + 3x Combine like terms: 8x + 3x = 11x 11x = -3x + 3x Combine like terms: -3x + 3x = 0 11x = 0 Divide each side by '11'. x = 0 Simplifying x = 0</span>

Keianaka and Christopher are participating in a volunteer project painting homes for elderly people in their neighborhood. Keian
Burka [1]
The K-team can paint a whole house in 60 minutes (super fast!!!). How much of a house can the team paint in 1 minute?  The K-team can paint 1/60 of a house per minute.

The C-team can paint a whole hose in 80 minutes. How much of a house can the team paint in 1 minute? The C-team can paint 1/80 of a house per minute.

Suppose both teams paint for the same amount of time --  call the time t (minutes).

Combine the work they do to paint 1 whole house:

\frac{1}{60}t+\frac{1}{80}t=1

Multiply all the terms by the Least Common Denominator,  LCD = 240.

240(\frac{1}{60})t+240(\frac{1}{80})t=240

Now, can you finish it? By the way, the answer is not a whole number!  Hint: it will be between 30 and 40 minutes.

If p = 10 - 3y, work out p when =-10
adell [148]

Hello.

Plug in the value of p:

\mathrm{-10=10-3y}

Now, all we have to do is solve the equation for y.

First, let's add 10 to both sides:

\mathrm{-10+10=10+10-3y}

\mathrm{0=20-3y}

Now, add 3y to both sides:

\mathrm{3y=20}

Divide both sides by 3:

\Large\boxed{y=\frac{20}{3} }

I hope it helps.

Have a nice day.

\boxed{imperturbability}
