Setting short-term goals is crucial so that you are able to effectively pace yourself without overworking and probably straining your muscles. Long term goals are crucial so that you work towards a bigger picture, and this will keep you going because your eyes are set on reaching that goal.

Short term goal helps you to work steady whilst long term goals keeps you focused.
