It makes no difference whether there are two bulbs or 1000 bulbs. If they are all in series then when one bulb burns out, or one little piece of wire between two bulbs comes loose, ALL of them go dark. In that situation it's a challenge to find where the break in the circuit is because all of the bulbs are dark.
As the volume of the container increases the pressure inside will decrease because the atoms have more room to move around in.

Total absorption of the light takes place in every image. There is no light left to proceed to our eyes, and that's why we can't see any of the images.
The absorption is so complete in each and every case, we can't even see enough to know how MANY images there are.
