In the Islam world, an arabic word . <em>mujahadeen </em>is someone fighting in the Jihad for liberty, often from cultural opression. The mujahadeen name was first heard in the conflict when Afghanistan resisted a Soviet occupation. The soldiers actively set defense and often gave their lifes as a sacrifice for their nation with an altruistic connotation. Also present in the war of Algeria, these fighters are willing to engage in increasingly further regions for the purpose of keeping out external or neo colonial forces in Iran, Morroco, Bosnia, etc.
