Answer:

The speed is \sqrt{2}v_{0}.

(a) is correct option.

Explanation:

Given that,

Potential difference V= V_{0}

Speed v = v_{o}

If it were accelerated instead

Potential difference V'=2V_{0}

We need to calculate the speed

Using formula of initial work done on proton

W = q V

We know that,

\Delta W=\Delta K.E

q V=\dfrac{1}{2}mv^2

Put the value into the formula

q V_{0}=\dfrac{1}{2}mv_{0}^2

v_{0}^2=\dfrac{2qV_{0}}{m}....(I)

If it were accelerated instead through a potential difference of 2 V_{0}, then it would gain a speed will be given as :

Using an above formula,

v_{0}'^2=\dfrac{2qV_{0}}{m}

Put the value of V_{0}

v_{0}'^2=\dfrac{2q\times2V_{0}}{m}

v_{0}'=\sqrt{\dfrac{4qV_{0}}{m}}

v_{0}'=\sqrt{2}v_{0}

Hence, The speed is \sqrt{2}v_{0}.

After a quick review of the textbook, rank the following elements in order of increasing density: (A) copper, (B) nickel, (C) ti
enot [183]

Answer:

Silicon (2.33 g/cm3) < Titanium (4.51 g/cm3) < Nickel (8.9 g/cm³) < Copper (8.96 g/cm³)

Explanation:

Density of copper = 8.96 g/cm³

Density of Nickel = 8.9 g/cm³

Density of Titanium = 4.51 g/cm3

density of silicon     = 2.33 g/cm3

The correct order of above metals based on the increasing density is as follow

Silicon (2.33 g/cm3) < Titanium (4.51 g/cm3) < Nickel (8.9 g/cm³) < Copper (8.96 g/cm³)

Thus, copper has the highest density among all.

Child on a swing, Pendulum, Bow and Arrow, Roller Coaster  is mechanical energy being conserved

<u>Explanation:</u>

Mechanical energy is the total of kinetic and potential energy in a thing that is employed to do a job.  A conservative force is a power like gravitation or a spring that “bends backward” energy that was conveyed by producing activity.  The friction and other non conservative forces, nevertheless, conservation of mechanical energy is surely conserved.

When one stretches or contracts an elastic object, one does act fronting the spring force, and that task finishes up saved as elastic potential energy.   Constantly shifting things up and down, producing variations in potential energy is termed as gravitational potential energy.

Here Child on a swing, Pendulum, Bow & Arrow, Roller Coaster in all there is the continuous conversion between gravitational/elastic potential energy and kinetic energy.
