Answer:

H = \frac{u^2}{2g} + h

Explanation:

Let the football is kicked up vertically with some speed given as

v = v_o

now its speed when it will reach to height "h" above the ground is given as "u"

so we will have

v_f^2 - v_i^2 = 2 a d

here we have

u^2 - v_o^2 = 2(-g)h

so we have

v_o^2 = u^2 + 2gh

now we know that when football will reach to maximum height then it will have zero final velocity

So we will have

v_f^2 - v_i^2 = 2 a s

0 - (u^2 + 2gh) = 2(-g)H

so we have maximum height given as

H = \frac{u^2 + 2gh}{2g}

H = \frac{u^2}{2g} + h

What sort of process converts the mechanized energy in the ocean into electricity?
allochka39001 [22]
I think it is the wave energy.
Wave energy also known as the ocean energy is the energy harnessed from the ocean or sea waves. It is a source of power that comes from the endless march of the waves as they roll into the shore then back out. Using wave energy is advantageous as they are environmental friendly as there are no harmful byproducts, and also the energy from waves can be taken directly into electricity-producing machinery and used to power generators.

A diamond with a mass of 45 g hangs motionless from a chain. what is the upward force of the chain on the diamond?
ololo11 [35]
The upward force of the chain on the diamond would be the tension in the chain, and this tension would have to support the weight of the 45g that hangs from the chain.

mass = 45 g = 45/1000 kg = 0.045kg

Weight = mg = 0.045 * 10 ≈ 0.45N,            g ≈ 10 m/s²

So the upward force is ≈ 0.45N.
