Select all the TRUE statements regarding electric field lines : A. Electric field lines can never cross over one another B. The

motion of a charged particle will always follow exactly on a field line C. Field lines can exist in regions of space where there are no charges D. Answer:

a. True

b. True

c. False

d. True

e. True

Explanation:

a. The electric field line do not cross each other and if they did, it would mean that the electric field would point in different directions at the same point which does not make sense. The line of force are straight, parallel and uniformly spaced.

b. The line of force indicate the direction of the electric field, therefore, the motion of the charge particles will always follow the line of force.

c. The line of force start from a positive charge only and end on negative charge only. So if this is the condition then field lines cannot exist in regions of space where their is no charges.

d. The closer the lines of field, the stronger the electric field.

A car travels from point A to point B, moving in the same direction but with a non-constant speed. The first half of the distanc
Dmitrij [34]

Answer:

Explanation:

From A to B

distance traveled with velocity v_1  in time t_1

\frac{d}{2}=v_1t_1----1

from B to C

distance traveled is 0.5 d with v_2  and v_3  velocity for half-half time

\frac{d}{2}=\frac{v_2t_2}{2}+\frac{v_3t_3}{2}----2

divide 1 and 2 we get

\frac{1}{1}=\frac{2v_1t_1}{v_2t_2+v_3t_3}

\frac{t_1}{t_2}=\frac{v_2+v_3}{2v_1}

Now average velocity is given by

v_{avg}=\frac{d}{t_1+t_2}

taking t_1  common

v_{avg}=\frac{2v_1t_1}{t_1(1+\frac{t_2}{t_1})}

v_{avg}=\frac{2v_1}{1+\frac{2v_1}{v_2+v_3}}

v_{avg}=\frac{2v_1(v_2+v_3)}{2v_1+v_2+v_3}

Just like the water cycle, rocks undergo changes of form in a rock cycle. A metamorphic rock can become an igneous rock, or a sedimentary rock can become a metamorphic one. Unlike the water cycle, you can’t see the process happening on a day-to-day basis. Rocks change very slowly under normal conditions, but sometimes catastrophic events like a volcanic eruption or a flood can speed up the process. So what are the three types of rocks, and how do they change into each other? Keep reading to find out!
