I will tell u how to solve it. First cut of the top triangle and do 25 times 15 divided by 2 . Then u do the area of the rectangle by doing 30 times 15. Then u add the two numbers together and u have ur final answer/area. Hope
 this helps!

Okay, now let cut this complex figure to get the two shape-rectangle and triangle, now the rectangle has has the area of 30 times 15 which equal 450 square mm, and the triangle has an area of 1/2 times 10 times 15 which equal 75 square mm, so the area of the composite figure is 525 square mm. Hope it help!

I need help with #8. I need to use the quadratic formula. I have a calculator that is programmed for the quadratic formula so al
GuDViN [60]

Answer:

  x = 14

Step-by-step explanation:

Extend line AB so that it intersects ray CE at point G. Then angles BGC and BAD are "alternate interior angles", hence congruent.

The angle at B is exterior to triangle BCG, and is equal to the sum of the interior angles at C and G:

  138 = (376 -23x) +(x^2 -8x)

Subtracting 138 and collecting terms we have ...

  x^2 -31x +238 = 0

For your calculator, a=1, b=-31, c=238.

__

<em>Additional comment</em>

You will find that the solutions to this are x = {14, 17}. You will also find that angle BCE will have corresponding values of 54° and -15°. That is, the solution x=17 is "extraneous." It is a solution to the equation, but not to the problem.

For x=14, the marked angles are A = 84°, C = 54°.

Find the slope of the line that passes through (2, 5) and (6,4).
ElenaW [278]

Answer:

The slope of the line is \frac{1}{-4}.

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the formula change in y over change in x to find the slope:

\frac{5-4}{2-6}

Then we simplify:

\frac{1}{-4}

The slope of the line is \frac{1}{-4}.

Nina [5.8K]
25 - 7 = 18 | 18 - 3 = 15 The school received 15 kits in the box. The reason why is because there are 3 kits that they haven't received yet. Then there were 7 that they already had, so that means there are 10 kits that wont be included in the box.
