Im pretty sure that those would be parallel lines

First, subtract 2y from the first equation. This makes:
3x=-2y-5
Next, add 5
3x+5=-2y
Finally, divide each side by two. You would do these steps because you want to find out what the slopes and y intercepts are.

-3/2x-5/2=y
y=-3/2x-5/2

Do the same thing to the other equation. You should get:

-2x+3y=-5
-2x=-3y-5
-2x+5=-3y
Finally, divide by -3 on both sides:

2/3x-5/3=y
y=2/3x-5/3

Finally, compare the two lines.

y=-3/2x-5/2
y=2/3x-5/3

The two lines are perpendicular because the slopes are total opposites from each other. One is negative and the other is positive, and the fraction on both of them is the reverse of the other. These two things are what makes the line perpendicular. For the line to be parallel, both the slopes would have to be the same thing

G. a car travels at 60m/s for 50minutes
south west.calculate how far it will travel
Tju [1.3M]

Step-by-step explanation:

first we want to convert it to minutes so we multiply 60m/s by 60. 3600m/min or 3.6km/min

we just multiply 50 by 3.6.

therefore the car travels 180km south west

Using the Pythagorean
miss Akunina [59]

Answer:

 • 13.5 units

Step-by-step explanation:

Use distance formula:

 • d = \sqrt{(x_2-x_1)^2+(y_2-y_1)^2}

Substitute the coordinates:

 • d = \sqrt{(-3-7)^2+(-3-6)^2} =\sqrt{10^2+9^2} =\sqrt{181} =13.5 rounded

If Sophie traveled 25 feet in 3 seconds, how fast was she traveling in miles per minute(5280 feet in a mile)
Oksanka [162]

Answer:

0.095 miles per minute

Step-by-step explanation:

If Sophie traveled 25 feet in 3 seconds, then in 1 second she will travel

25/3 = 8.333 ft

But in 60 seconds make 1 minute, so in 1 minute, she will travel

(25/3) × 60 = 25 ×20

= 500 ft

Therefore in miles/minute, she was going

500/5280 = 0.095 miles per minute
