Answer:

292 inches^2

Step-by-step explanation:

So to start off this is a picture of the fish tank.

Next we will find the area of the bottom and top rectangles.

The side lenghts for those two is 7 and 8.

So the area of one is 56 and the area of 2 is 112 inches^2.

Now we will find the area of the left and right rectangles.

The side lenghts are 6 and 8.

So the area of 2 is 96 inches^2.

Now for the front and back rectangles.

The side lenghts for those two are 6 and 7.

So the area of both is 84 inches^2.

So after adding all the areas up the surface area is 292 inches^2.

Why is the answer E?
bearhunter [10]

Step-by-step explanation:

The only way the answer could be E is if the x² term under the radical is supposed to be t².

f(x) = ∫₄²ˣ √(t² − t) dt

f'(x) = √((2x)² − 2x) (2)

f'(x) = 2√(4x² − 2x)

f'(2) = 2√(4(2)² − 2(2))

f'(2) = 2√12

If a coin is thrown with a starting velocity of 0 m/s down a dry well and hits bottom in 1.2 s, what's the depth of the well? Wi
BigorU [14]

Answer:

Depth = 7.06 m

Velocity = 11.77 ms-1

Step-by-step explanation:

We use the equation of motion:-

s = ut + 1/2 gt^{2}   where s = distance fallen , t = time , u = initial velocity and g = 9.81 ms^-2 , the acceleration due to gravity.

So s = 0(t) + 1/2 * 9.81 (1.2)^2

= 7.06 m to nearest tenth.

We use another equation of motion to find the final velocity:-

v^2 = u^2 + 2gs    where v = final velocity

v^2 = 0 + 2*9.81 * 7.06

= 138.52

v = √138.52 = 11.77 m s-1
