If you want a positive number, you can say that the origin is 360 degrees. Then, being it's moving clockwise, subtract 90 degrees from 360 degrees. That will give you 270 degrees.
If you want a negative answer, you could simply say that the origin is 0 and subtract 90 from that giving you -90.
