Fifty-six biscuits are to be fed to 10 pets; each pet is either a cat or a dog. each dog is to get six biscuits, and each cat is to get five. how many dogs are there?

Answer: There are 6 dogs

Explanation:

Total number of biscuits = 56

Total number of Pets = 10

Now each dog is to be given 6 biscuits and each cat is to be given 5 biscuits.

Now if there are 6 dogs and each is to be given 6 biscuits and total biscuits given to 6 dogs = 6 x 6 =36

and there are 4 cats and each is to be given 5 biscuits and total biscuits given to 4 dogs = 4 x 5 =20

Therefore, total biscuits given to 6 dogs and 4 cats is 36+20= 56

Answer:

an+1 = 2×7ⁿ

Step-by-step explanation:

98÷14

=7

686÷98

=7

4 802÷686

=7

33 614÷4 802

=7

Then the common ratio q for this sequence is 7

recursive formula : an+1 = q×an = ?

an= a1 × qⁿ⁻¹

   =2×7ⁿ⁻¹

an+1 = q×an

        = 7×(2×7ⁿ⁻¹)

       = 2×7ⁿ

Please answer! it's more complicated than it looks!
kifflom [539]

Answer:

1. 360

2. Yes because in a regular hexagon all angles are congruent so the exterior angles are as well

3. (i) 60 (ii) 120

4.

(i) 1. 360 2. Yes because in a regular octagon all angles are congruent so the exterior angles are as well 3. (i) 45 (ii) 135

(ii) 1. 360 2. Yes because in a regular 20-gon all angles are congruent so the exterior angles are as well 3. (i) 18 (ii) 162

Step-by-step explanation:

Works for each polygon

1. First take the number of sides and subtract it by 2 then multibly that by 180

6-2=4x180=720

Then divide by the number of angles and subrtact that number by 180 to find the measure of one exterior angle

720/6=120

180-120=60

Then multiply by the number of exterior angles

60x6=360

2. Regular polygons always have equal angles so the exterior angles are as well

3. Put in your numbers from earlier

(i) 60 (ii)120

Hope this helps! :)
