Here is the formula:

d=C/\pi
Dividing fractions is the same as multiplying the reciprocal, but inorder to multiply fractions you need to convert the mixed number to an improper fraction. so .....
Formula for mixed numbers to improper fraction is:

(whole number*denominator)+numerator and you put your answer over the denomiator.

Solving everything
37 5/7 = 264/7

264/7*7/22 (reciprocal of 22/7)=

Stolb23 [73]

Answer: $2600

Focus on Gamble B only. Multiply each winnings with their corresponding probabilities.

5100*0.50 = 2550

200*0.25 = 50

0*0.25 = 0

Add up those results: 2550+50+0 = 2600

The expected value of gamble B is $2600

Which of the following best explains why tan5π/6 ≠ tan5π/3
Kobotan [32]

Answer:

The angles do not have the same reference angle.

Step-by-step explanation:

1) Angle 5π / 3 radians:

Convert radians to degrees: 5π/3 × 180° / π = 300°

300° is in the fourth quadrant

The reference angle for angles in the fourth quadrant is 360° - angle ⇒ 360° - 300° = 60°.

∴ The reference angle for this angle is 60°.

2) Angle 5π / 6 radians:

Convert radians to degrees: 5π/6 × 180° / π = 150°

150° is in the second quadrant

The reference angle for angles in the second quadrant is 180° - angle ⇒ 180° - 150° = 30°.

∴ The reference angle for this angle is 30°.

3) Conclusion:

Since the reference angles are different, the tangent ratios have different values.

tan (5π/3) = - tan(60°) = - √3

tan (5π/6) = - tan(30°) = - (√3)/3

Note that the tangent is negative in both second and fourth quadrants.

So we see that the ratio between the two octagons is 7:1, since 28/4=7 so what we do next is multiply the values of the smaller octagon by 7. But that’s the long way. There’s actually a shortcut by multiplying the perimeter of the smaller octagon, 34, by 7. This in turn equals 238.
