Lauren is clearly going to make an awful professor. Nearly half of her students failed their final this past spring. She should

probably choose another career path, because her students’ performance demonstrates that she doesn’t teach very well. What statement, if true, most weakens the argument above? Answer:C The students who failed the exam also had poor attendance.

Explanation:If the students did not attend the class it means they did not get most out of the lecture and they probably missed out on most lessons hence that can also be used to explain the failing rate.

When that can be true then the blame can not be 100% on the professor's ability to teach because if he is teaching and they are not present it can be expected that they will not do well on the subject whether he is good or not .

To persuade my audience to give blood and to support the Wilderness Society is a poorly phrased specific purpose statement for a
Ratling [72]

Answer:

It contains two unrelated ideas.

Explanation:

Unrelated ideas are ideas that make no sense once put together. The Wilderness Society, at first glance, has absolutely nothing to do with donating blood. Therefore, it would make for a poor statement to support donating blood. What should be done, is to replace that statement with the institution, organization, etc, that actually receives the blood donated, give more information about how it would be to donate, where does that blood goes to, how many lives could be saved, information about the body process after donating, etc etc.
