Read the paragraph. The kids had been out on the pond all morning. There were not enough hockey sticks to go around, so a game o

Discarded ski caps served as goal markers, and the kids skated back and forth on the backyard “rink.” The impromptu game stretched to fill the entire morning of the canceled school day. Marco was the last to leave the ice, gathering neglected gear and a forgotten puck. As he glided toward the bank, he heard a creak and a pop. A crack began to snake its way across the surface, and when Marco was inches from the edge, one skate went through the ice. Answer:

The conflict is character versus nature. The main problem in the story is where Marco almost falls into the pond. This was created by nature, as a warming temperature causes melting pond ice.

Answer:

Material things will never bring happiness to any home even though I will live in a world controlled by material things; however, even with the excess of the material, there will be no contentment. The genuine feel of happiness comes from a family with love and care.

Most people run to materials things forgetting that it is not the sole bearer of happiness. Some people go as far as sacrificing their loved ones because of material possessions. According to Mrs. March, wealth is happiness that is contented.

Prove that Reverend Hale is a dynamic character by
Wittaler [7]

Answer:

Reverend Hale in the play "The Crucible" is an example of a dynamic character.

Explanation:

A dynamic character in a literary piece is the one who goes through changes in his/her inner self such as changes in personality.

Reverend Hale is a vulnerable character of the play who's been manipulated easily by other characters such as Abigail. Hale has come to Salem to investigate the rumors of witchcraft practices in the town.

In beginning Acts, Hale is seen suspecting Rebecca Nurse and Proctor's with witchcraft practices just because he heard rumors about them. But as the play progresses, Hale realizes that they are innocent and he tries to change his mistake by questioning the judgement of the court in Act IV and trying to save the prisoners.
