I can only half answer this question, as it doesn't tell what form of distance is used

the equation is...

d=15g

Now lets solve for 1 gallon of gas

d=15g
d=15(1)
d=15

This means that for every 1 gallon of gas, 15 (insert missing unit of distance here) can be driven.

15/1=15

Answer:The constant of proportionality is 15.

Nautical flags are used to represent letters of alphabets. The flag for the letter O consists of a yellow right triangle and a r
liraira [26]

Answer:

The length of a side of the flag is 7.2inches

Step-by-step explanation:

Let length = x

Let hypotenuse = x+3

Using Pythagoras' Theorem:

x^2 + x^2 = (x+3)^2

x^2 + x^2 = x^2 + 6x + 9

2x^2 = x^2 + 6x + 9

×^2 - 6x - 9 = 0

x =  \frac{ - b +  -  \sqrt{ {b}^{2} - 4ac } }{2a}

x=[-(-6)+sqrt.(-6)^2-4(1)(-9)]/2(1)

×=[6+sqrt.72]/2

×=7.2inches

×=[-(-6)+sqrt.(-6)^2-4(1)(-9)]/2(1)

x=[6-sqrt.72]/2

×=-1.2(rej)

(PS. sqrt is square root)

The focus of a parabola is located at (0,–2). The directrix of the parabola is represented by y = 2. Which equation represents t
Archy [21]

Answer:

\boxed{x^2=-8y}

Step-by-step explanation:

(a,b)\ is \ the\ focus\\y=k\ is \ the\ directrice\\\\Formula\ to\ use:\ y=\dfrac{(x-a)^2}{2(b-k)} +\dfrac{b+k}{2} \\\\Here: \ a=0,\ b=-2, \ k=2\\\\y=\dfrac{(x-0)^2}{2(-2-2)} +\dfrac{-2+2}{2} \\\\so\ y=-\dfrac{x^2}{8} \\\\or\ x^2=-8y

How to find the rate of change over an interval when given a graph
inn [45]

Answer:

(y2-y1)/(x2-x1)

Step-by-step explanation:

Using two coordinates, you can just plug in the corresponding (x,y) coordinates and you will get the slope, which is the rate of change over an interval
