Incomplete question.The Complete question is here

A flat uniform circular disk (radius = 2.00 m, mass = 1.00 ✕ 102 kg) is initially stationary. The disk is free to rotate in the horizontal plane about a friction less axis perpendicular to the center of the disk. A 40.0-kg person, standing 1.25 m from the axis, begins to run on the disk in a circular path and has a tangential speed of 2.00 m/s relative to the ground.

a.) Find the resulting angular speed of the disk (in rad/s) and describe the direction of the rotation.

b.) Determine the time it takes for a spot marking the starting point to pass again beneath the runner's feet.

Answer:

(a)ω = 1 rad/s

(b)t = 2.41 s

Explanation:

(a) initial angular momentum = final angular momentum

0 = L for disk + L............... for runner

0 = Iω² - mv²r ...................they're opposite in direction

0 = (MR²/2)(ω²) - mv²r ................where is ω is angular speed which is required in part (a) of question

0 = [(1.00×10²kg)(2.00 m)² / 2](ω²) - (40.0 kg)(2.00 m/s)²(1.25 m)

0=200ω²-200

200=200ω²

ω = 1 rad/s

b.)

lets assume the "starting point" is a point marked on the disk.

The person's angular speed is

v/r = (2.00 m/s) / (1.25 m) = 1.6 rad/s

As the person and the disk are moving in opposite directions, the person will run part of a revolution and the turning disk would complete the whole revolution.

(angle) + (angle disk turns) = 2π

(1.6 rad/s)(t) + ωt = 2π

t[1.6 rad/s + 1 rad/s] = 2π

t = 2.41 s

A team exerts a force of 10 N towards the south in a tug of war. The other, opposite team, exerts a force of 17 N towards the no
ikadub [295]

Answer:

Option C

Explanation:

According to the question:

Force exerted by the team towards south, F = 10 N

Force exerted by the opposite team towards North, F' = 17 N

Net Force, \vec{F_{net}} = \vec{F'} - \vec{F}

\vec{F_{net}} = \vec{F'} - \vec{F} = 17 - 10 = 7 N

Thus the force will be along the direction of force whose magnitude is higher

Therefore,

\vec{F_{net}} = 7 N towards North

7) A long straight wire of radius 1.00x10-3 m (1 mm) carries uniform current density J such that the magnetic field at the edge
Vedmedyk [2.9K]

Answer:A)0.5 and 2 mm

Explanation:

Given

radius R of wire is 1 mm

magnetic Field at edge(surface) =10^{-5} T

Magnetic Field at a distance r' from Center is B'=5\times 10^{-6} T

and we know

B=\frac{\mu _0I}{2\pi r}

where I= current

\mu _o=Permeability of free space

r=distance from center

For r=R

10^{-5}=\frac{\mu _0I}{2\pi R}---1

For r=r'

5\times 10^{-6}=\frac{\mu _0I}{2\pi r'}---2

Divide 1 and 2

\frac{10^{-5}}{0.5\times 10^{-5}}=\frac{r'}{R}

r'=2 R=2 mm

If r is inside the wire then

B=\frac{\mu _0rI}{2\pi R^2}

for r=R

10^{-5}=\frac{\mu _0R\cdot I}{2\pi R^2}---3

for r=r"

5\times 10^{-6}=\frac{\mu _0r"I}{2\pi R^2}----4

Divide 3 and 4

2=\frac{R}{r"}

r"=0.5 mm

A car is moving at a constant 34 m/s for 7 seconds. What is the average acceleration of the car?
Marina86 [1]
Since the body is moving with uniform motion therefore the body doesn't accelerate
therefore acceleration is 0m/s^2
