Answer:

C. Scavenging of dead animals and gathering of plants (just as Homo habilis had done), and perhaps the hunting of smaller animals

Explanation:

Homo erectus (erect man): Homo erectus is believed to be appeared about 1.5 million years ago. It was in the middle Pleistocene age when they evolved from homo habilis. Homo erectus probably ate meat, was around 1.5-1.8 meters tall and males were probably larger than females. As the name suggests they has erect posture. His skull was flatter than that of modern man and he had protruding jaws. Other features includes projecting brow ridges, small canines and large molar teeth. Their cranial capacity was 900 cc. Cranium was dome shaped to accommodate the large brain. Homo erectus was omnivorous and he made various tools using stones and bones. He made use of fire for hunting, defense and cooking. Answer: Increased concentration of glucose in leaf cells

Explanation:

Based off the flowchart, the process that it's describing is photosynthesis because during this process sunlight and CO2 are taken in by a plant to produce glucose. If we are exposed to sunlight and are increasing the use of CO2, then there must be a higher concentration of glucose in the leaf cells. Glucose is a product of photosynthesis.

_______ research has the potential to significantly impact the development of disease-modifying treatments for Parkinson's disea
nydimaria [60]

Stem cell research has the potential to significantly impact the development of disease-modifying treatments for Parkinson’s disease with considerable progress made in creating dopamine-progressing cells.

Explanation:

Parkinson’s disease, a neurodegenerative disease, leads to reduction of dopamine (a neurochemical messenger which carries messages involving thinking and body movements to brain) in the body because the disease will target and kill dopamine-producing nerve cells (neurons). This leads to loss of movement and thinking abilities which are activated by dopamine.

Stem cells research is done to study about the prospects of stem cells in stem cell therapy for Parkinson’s patients as a viable source of new dopamine nerve cells. Research has been involved in growing stem cells to replace or regenerate dopamine-producing nerve cells by using embryonic stem cells or induced pluripotent stem cells as a treatment modality in Parkinson’s disease.

HELP ME ASAP PLEASE.

How does water move from leaves to root? explain
iogann1982 [59]

Answer:

During transpiration, water will evaporate from tiny holes in the surfaces of leaves into the air (the tiny holes are called stomata). As the water molecules evaporate from plant leaves, they attract the water molecules still in the plant, helping to pull water up through the stems from the roots.
