Homo <em>erectus</em> (erect man): Homo erectus is believed to be appeared about 1.5 million years ago. It was in the middle Pleistocene age when they evolved from homo habilis. Homo erectus probably ate meat, was around 1.5-1.8 meters tall and males were probably larger than females. As the name suggests they has erect posture.
