The length of the other leg is 45

A^2+b^2=c^2
Plug the numbers in and square them
784+ b= 2809
-784 -784

Subtract 784 from both sides and
Take the square root of 2025 which is 45

PLEASE HELP ME!! And this is about Unit conversions!!! BUT PLEASE HELP AND EXPLAIN THIS TO ME!!
prisoha [69]
Unit conversions will almost always fall into a division or multiplication problem. In this case we are being asked to convert a smaller unit to a larger one, so it will be a division problem.
The standard metric goes on the bottom of the fraction always, so 10/16 or 10÷16 is the problem.
10÷16= .625 pounds of cheese.

(x - 1)2 = 4<br> how do i do this
Gnoma [55]

Answer:

x = 3

Step-by-step explanation:

(x - 1)2 = 4

how to get this solved is very simple.

first step to apply is the BODMAS RULE

B..................... bracket

O..................... of

D.....................Division

M.................... multiplication

A..................... addition

S.................... Subtraction

so (x - 1)2 = 4

we have,

2x - 2 = 4 ( by opening the bracket)

collect the like terms

2x = 4+2

divide both sides by 2

2x/2 = 6/2

x = 3

to check if your answer is correct put the value of x = 3 into the question and see if the right hand side will equal to the left handside

(x - 1)2 = 4

(3-1)2=4

2(2)=4

4=4.............................. proved
