Long division would take care of this nicely for you.  In the box you will put this:5 x^{4}+0 x^{3} +3 x^{2} +0x+8.  Don't forget to leave a place for the x's that aren't there.  Then do the division.  The answer is A.  I believe that it would be near impossible to show you how to do long division of polynomials in this particular forum.

If you run a marathon of 26 1/5 miles in a time of 5 4/5 how far do you run in 1 hour<br><br>pls
alisha [4.7K]

First let's make both the miles and the hours ran improper fractions:

26+\frac{1}{5}=\frac{131}{5}\\ 5+\frac{4}{5}=\frac{29}{5}

So, to find our miles per hour, we have to divide the miles by the hours to get: \frac{\frac{131}{5}\text{miles}}{\frac{29}{5}\text{hours}}=\frac{131\text{miles}}{29\text{hours}} \\ \text{ Now we have to divide the top and the bottom by 29 to get our miles per hour so: }\\ \frac{\frac{131}{29}}{\text{hour}} \approx \frac{4.52 \text{miles}}{\text{hour}}

A general contractor is constructing a building that requires a concrete foundation that is to be 35 feet by 12 feet and 3 inche
inessss [21]
First we need to calculate the volume which is Base*depth or length*width*depth
first we have to change all the units so they are the same, 3 inches in this case will equal 1/4feet
multiply all the numbers together
35ft*12ft*1/4foot= 105 cubic feet
however the problem says the cost per cubic *yards*
so take the 105 cubic feet and divide by 3 (3 feet to a yard)
105/3 = 35 cubic yards
the cost of 35 cubic yards of concrete =
35*125= $4375

the scale map says that 10cm represents 2km what distance on the map in centimeters represent an actual distance of 15 kilometer
Leno4ka [110]

Answer:

75cm

Step-by-step explanation:

Well, I can't see a photo, so I'll have to assume that the description provides enough info.

10cm/2km = x/15km,

where x is the distance on the map (in centimeters) of a real-life distance of 15 kilometers.

10cm/2km = x/15km

10/2 = 5/1

This means we have to multiply 5 by 15 to find x.

x = 5 · 15

x = 75

Let's plug the new value back in...

10cm/2km = x/15km

10cm/2km = (75cm)/15km

<em>(Simplify each side to its simplest form)</em>

10cm/2km = 75cm/15km

5/1 = 5/1

It works! So x = 75cm.

Hope this helps! :)
