This number would greatly increase, as there are many nations that don't have their own their own country. Some are part of a bigger country (the Tamils in India) and some are distributed among many countries (the Kurds)

Recognizing all those nations could increase some conflicts, such as that between the Kurds and Turkish in Turkey.
I think that a good definition should acknowledge that some nations have independent states and some are part of another state - the defining characteristics should be a sense of unity among the nation.

Aleks [24]

Answer:

The consumption of alcohol or alcohol flavoring.

Explanation:

In research, we usually have two different types of variables:

 • The independent variable is the one that the researchers can control and that will have an effect on another variable.
 • The dependent variable is the one that cannot be control and that is affected by the independent variable. Researchers observe this variable to see how it changes. This is the variable that will be tested or measured.

In this example researchers told some subjects they were receiving alcohol and to some others they were not receiving alcohol and measured their physical coordination and mental capacities. We can see that the researchers could control the amount of alcohol the participants were going to consume and the coordination and mental capacities would be affected by this consumption. Therefore, since the consumption of alcohol will have an effect on the other variable, this would be the independent variable.

Stells [14]

- Their main food sources are different.

Explanation:

- The way they choose their homes were different.

During the stone age, humans were nomadic. In order to fulfill their basic needs they have to engaged in hunting & gathering process to obtain foods and shelter from their environment. If the food in a certain area became too scarce, they will move and settle to another area.

During the agricultural age on the other hand, humans stayed in one place in a long period of time because they can produce their own food source. They're no longer need to hunt to fulfill their basic needs.

- Their main food sources are different.

During the stone age, animals meat and wild fruits were humans' main food source. As we entered the agricultural age, we started to developed food sources that were easy to produced and provide us with high calories. This is when we slowly transitioned into mostly consuming crops such as Potatoes, rice, and corn.
