Answer:- E. BaSO_4

Explanations:- The reactants are K_2SO_4 and Ba(NO_3)_2 and both of these are soluble. The double displacement reaction takes place in which the ion exchange takes place. sulfate ion goes to barium and nitrate ion goes to potassium and the products are KNO_3 and BaSO_4 .

Here, it could be noticed that charge for potassium is +1 and charge for barium is +2. Charge for nitrate ion is -1 and the charge for sulfate ion is -2. Nitrates ion goes with potassium ion and as they have equal charges, no subscripts are used for potassium for nitrate ion and the formula is KNO_3 . Similarly, barium and sulfate ion both have equal charges and so no subscripts are used neither for barium nor for sulfate and the formula is BaSO_4 .

Now, if we check out the solubility rules then all nitrates are soluble means potassium nitrate is soluble. Barium sulfate is insoluble. The balanced equation is:

K_2SO_4(aq)+Ba(NO_3)_2(aq)\rightarrow 2KNO_3(aq)+BaSO_4(s)

So, the correct option is E. BaSO_4 .

Baker’s yeast catalyzes the decomposition of hydrogen peroxide (dihydrogen dioxide) into oxygen and water. Directions: Add 10 mL
andreev551 [17]

Answer:

The unbalanced chemical equation: H₂O₂ → H₂O + O₂.

The balanced chemical equation: H₂O₂ → H₂O + 1/2O₂.

Explanation:

  • Hydrogen peroxide is decomposed into oxygen and water, which is a slow reaction.
  • It is can be catalyzed by using yeast.

The unbalanced chemical equation: H₂O₂ → H₂O + O₂.

The balanced chemical equation: H₂O₂ → H₂O + 1/2O₂.

1.0 mol of H₂O₂ is decomposed to 1.0 mol of H₂O and 0.5 mol of O₂.
