Phosphagens are a group of molecules that includes creatine phosphate (in vertebrates), and arginine phosphate, lombricine, and

phosphoopheline (in invertebrates). These molecules have similar functions in different organisms.

Answer:

Phosphagen provides the needed energy for the muscle tissues which can not be immediately supplied by glycolysis or oxidative phosphorylation. They supply immediate but limited energy as sudden demands for lots of energy by the muscle tissues arise.

Explanation:

Phosphagens are high energy storage compounds majorly found in muscular tissue of animals.

They allow maintenance of the high energy phosphate stores in its normal concentration ranges which discard the problems associated with ATP-consuming reactions in these tissues as against the presence of adenosine triphosphate.

The muscle tissues are actively working and need constant supply of energy and the energy produced by glycolysis and oxidative phosphorylation might not sum up to the needs of the tissues. So therefore, phosphagens serve as a stand by mechanism for energy production for the tissues mostly during sustained muscle activity.

The man, the muscle cells' phosphocreatinine concentration is more than three times the concentration of ATP and represent a ready reserve of high energy phosphate that can be donated directly to Adenosine diphosohate to release energy.

Different organisms use different biomolecule as a phosphagen. Majority of animals use arginine as their phosphagen, chordates use creatinine, annelids use lombricine.

They all perform these similar functions described above.

How much work is required to lift a 0.500 kg block 18.5 m?
kipiarov [429]

Answer:

Work = 90.65 j

Explanation:

Given data:

Mass = 0.500 Kg

Distance = 18.5 m

Work done = ?

Solution:

Work = force . distance

Force = mg

Work = mg.distance

Work = mgh

Work = 0.500 Kg × 9.8 m/s²× 18.5 m

Work = 90.65 Kg .m²/s²

Kg .m²/s² = j

Work = 90.65 j

Can someone please explain this to me? I need help
Vladimir [108]

Answer:

The order would be: X-Rays, Visible Light, and Infrared Waves.

X-Rays have the shortest wavelength out of all three, then Visible Light, and Infrared Waves have the longest wavelength of the three.

Explanation:

So basically, the LONGER the wavelength, the lower the energy. and the SHORTER the wavelength, the higher the energy. For example, Radio waves are the WEAKEST out of all the types of waves because they have the LONGEST wavelengths. Gamma Rays are the STRONGEST out of all the types of waves because they have the SHORTEST wavelengths. So Radio Waves have the lowest energy, and Gamma Rays have the highest energy.

Here is a list of all the types of waves in order from shortest wavelength to longest wavelengths:

Gamma Rays (Shortest Wavelengths, High Energy), then X-Rays would be the second strongest, then Ultraviolet waves, then Visible Light, then Infrared waves, then Microwaves, and lastly Radio Waves (Longest Wavelengths, Low Energy).
