<h3>Answer: C.  3/10</h3>

A terminating decimal only happens when the fraction has a denominator with factors of 2 and/or 5. No other factors are allowed (other than 1).

Something like 1/12 has the denominator 12 with factors 2*2*3. That '3' means we won't have a terminating decimal. Similarly, the fractions 2/9 and 2/3 won't convert to a terminating decimal either.

3/10 on the other hand does convert to a terminating decimal and 3/10 = 0.3

Robert weighs 20 pounds more than his friend Genesis. The sum of their weights is more than 220 lbs. What is are the smallest po
Vesnalui [34]

Answer:robert=120lbs,genesis=100

Step-by-step explanation:take genesis as (x) and since robert is 20 pounds heavier he would be (X+20) so:

x+(x+20)  =220lbs

2x+20=220

2x=220-20

2x=200

x=100 which we took as genesis

which leaves robert's weight 100 +20 =120

How do you find the length of the curve x=3t−t3x=3t-t^3, y=3t2y=3t^2, where 0≤t≤3√0&lt;=t&lt;=sqrt(3) ?
taurus [48]
It's simple, you just have to do this:

L=\int\limits_{a}^{b}\sqrt{\left(\frac{dx}{dt}\right)^2+\left(\frac{dy}{dt}\right)^2}~dt

x=3t-t^3

\frac{dx}{dt}=3-3t^2

y=3t^2

\frac{dy}{dt}=6t

replacing

L=\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{3}}\sqrt{\left(3-3t^2\right)^2+\left(6t\right)^2}~dt

L=\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{3}}\sqrt{9-18t^2+9t^4+36t^2}~dt

L=\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{3}}\sqrt{9+9t^4+18t^2}~dt

L=\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{3}}\sqrt{(3t^2+3)^2}~dt

L=\int\limits_{0}^{\sqrt{3}}(3t^2+3)~dt

L=t^3+3t|_0^{\sqrt{3}}

\boxed{\boxed{L=3\sqrt{3}+3\sqrt{3}=6\sqrt{3}}}
