To check if the hypothesis is correct or not, one must create a Genetic Phylogeny. This would give the strongest evidence of finding a relationship between species. However, phylogeny based on Cytochrome C have discrepancies on traditional phylogenies. Therefore, the hypothesis made can easily be refuted.
