Dependent Personality Disorder (DPD) occurs when an individual can not stand being alone otherwise they become anxious. A person with this disorder relies more on people to feel comfortable,reassured and supported.

Everyone struggles with insecurities every now and then however an individual with DPD requires confirmation from other people to feel better about themselves.

A person with DPD can be categorised into following

Cluster A: strange behavior

Cluster B: emotional or deviant erratic behavior

Cluster C: nervouseness with extreme anxiety behavior

Signs of this disorder include:

They submit to people, dependent on friend and family to decide on matters in their lives,need constant confirmation from people and get really hurt when they don't receive it. They feel lonely and rejected. They don't take criticism in a logical and rational way.
