Which statement about DNA polymerases is FALSE? Group of answer choices DNA polymerases always synthesize DNA in the 3’ to 5’ di

rection. Bacterial and eukaryotic DNA polymerases have proofreading activities to repair errors in DNA replication. Two DNA polymerase enzymes form a complex together. One polymerase enzyme will perform leading strand synthesis and the other polymerase enzyme will perform lagging strand synthesis. DNA polymerases synthesis a new DNA strand using the older parental strand as a template.

Answer:

DNA polymerases always synthesize DNA in the 3’ to 5’ direction, ( correct is 5' to 3').

Explanation:

1. DNA polymerase (an enzyme) which replicates DNA, by using the parental strand as template and synthesize a new complementary strand.

2.DNA polymerase synthesize DNA in 5' to 3' direction in both strands.

3. One strand is called leading strand which in synthesized continuously, and other is called lagging strand which is synthesized, by having gapes which are filled by DNA poll-1, and these are linked by DNA lygase enzyme.

4. DNA polymerase synthesis both leading and lagging, and it contain proofreading activity.

Explain how deep water currents affect the number of organisms found in the area by circulating nutrients.
MariettaO [177]
Deep water currents affect the number of organisms found in the area by circulating nutrients due to upwelling. Upwelling is a process where cold water surfaces and encourages nutrients to the surface. When exposed to sunlight, they initiate energy which keeps the flow of the ecosystem.
