Well you first must get the fractions to have the same denominator. So you multiply 5/8 by 10 ( both top and bottom ) to get 50/80, and you multiply 7/10 by 8 to get 56/80. You ignore the whole 2 for now for it is not a fraction, and you add 56 plus 50 to get 106 and put it back over 80. 106/80, now since 106/80 is over 1 you can take 106 - 80 and get 26. 1 and 26/80 is what the two fractions add up to. Add the whole two to 1 and get 3 and 26/80 which can be simplified to 3 and 13/40.

Please help me with this trigonometry question. Brainliest available.
faltersainse [42]
Considering the angle a by cosine rule
11^2 =7 ^2 +15^2 - 2(7)(15)cos(a)
When you do the maths,
Cos(a) =153/210 =0.729
a= cos inverse of 0.729
a=43 degrees

Considering angle b
7^2=15^2 +11^2 -2(11)(15) cos(b)
This will result in cos(b) =297/330=0.9
b= cos inverse of 0.9 = 25.8 degrees

Considering angle c
15^2=7^2 +11^2 - 2(11)(7) cos(c)
Cos(c) will be = -55/154 = -0.357
c= cos inverse of -0.357=110.9

Comparing the angles a,b and c,
C is the largest size in the triangle with an angle of 110.9 degrees

Am I right please ??

3/8 of the cast sing and what fraction doesn't sing
makkiz [27]
5/8 of the cast doesn't sing. To get this answer, you must do 8/8 - 3/8. This would give you 5/8 because 8-3 equals 5 and the denominators just satay the same.

For the given triangle find the exact value for cos(A) assume angle C is a right angle
lubasha [3.4K]
Remember that cosine is adjacent/hypotenuse. We can plug in the values given for this triangle.
Cos(A) = 5/13.
Don’t use a decimal answer as rounding would be necessary, and therefore you wouldn’t be giving an exact value. Leave your answer as 5/13.
