Answer:

I have to pay $28 to the rental shop.

Step-by-step explanation:

The rental shop charges $13 to rent the kayak with paddles plus $5 per hour.

If i go for kayaking for x hours then equation formed to determine the rental will be = 13 + 5x

Now rental for the value of x = 3 hours

rental = 13 + 5.(3)

         = 13 + 15

         = $28

Therefore, for 3 hours of kayaking i have to owe the rental shop = $28

Jamal needs to contribute $4,050 towards his first year of college. If he has 1 year to save and $1,000 in his savings account a
Genrish500 [490]

Answer:

Jamal needs to save $254.17 each month to cover his expenses.

Step-by-step explanation:

We know that there are 12 months in a year, and Jamal already has $1,000 towards college. Jamal still needs to save $3,050 more dollars because: 4,050 - 1,000 = 3,050. Next, we take how much he has yet to pay ($3,050) divided by how many months in 1 year (12), and that gives us 254.17 per month.

Answers to numbers 2 and 3
BARSIC [14]
For both of them you just make them into fraction.
For #2
\frac{36}{120}
and then you simplify it
36. ÷12 3
-----. =. --------
120. ÷12 10
After this you want to change the fraction to a percentage.Percentage are out of 100

so you simply will multiply by 10 to the top and bottom
3. 30
----. * 10 =. -----. = 30%
10. 100

The answer is 30%

For number #3
you simply put 63 over 240
63
-----
240
63  \div 3= 21
240 \div 3 = 80
\frac{21}{80}
21
----
80
is that answer because it can't be simplified
after that
