John will take 360 minutes to read the entire novel.

Step-by-step explanation:

Here:

x : The number of minutes John spends reading

y : The number of pages he has left to read.

y = -0.6 x + 216

We need to find the value of x for which the pages left to be read is 0 or the book is fully completed.

Putting y = 0, in y = -0.6 x + 216 we get:

y = -0.6 x + 216 ⇒ 0 = -0.6 x + 216

or, 0.6 x = 216

or, x = \frac{216}{0.6} = 360

or, x = 360 minutes

Hence, John will take 360 minutes to read the entire novel.

A student worked out at a gym continuously from 70 minutes. The graph shoes the remaining percentage of the workout as a linear
eduard

Answer: the first answer

Step-by-step explanation: sorry i know it would’ve been better if i typed it but i’m running out of charge so it would be you first answer. this is because domain shows the minimum and maximum values x can be and range is the same but for y. the second and third functions aren’t in any format that i’ve learned before and it’s closest to interval notation which can be written as [min,max] with parentheses if it doesn’t touch those values. but yeah i hope this helped and i’m sorry if it is incorrect. good luck!

D+(−5.004)=2.826
I am so confused. What do I do?
enyata [817]

Okayyy, so the answer is 7.830. Adding a negative number is the same as subtracting a positive number so you can rewrite it as d-5.004=2.826, then you will add 5.004 to 2.826 and for your answer you will get 7.830.

Which statement is the if/then conditional statement of the following? Vertical angles are congruent.
FinnZ [79.3K]

An if-then statement must hold under any condition. Let's take it case by case:

A. This one makes sense, and is perfect! If two angles are vertical, then they must be congruent. This holds no matter what. This is your answer.

B. This doesn't hold because Alternate Interior Angles can also be congruent (along with many others). Two angles don't have to be vertical to be congruent.

C. This one is also true because this is the contrapositive of Option A. (Read my reasoning on D to know what a contrapositive is). Therefore, this is correct.

D. This one is the contrapositive of B, which makes it the exact same as B. Thus, this is not the answer. Contrapositive, by the way, just means that it's the inverse and opposite of a given statement. Let's say P is the contrapositive of Q. If this is the case, then if Q is true, P must be true. In our case, Option D is the contrapositive of Option B and since Option B is not true, neither is D.
