One of the way you can complete the sentence is by saying that this is a crisis of "natural resources", that is, that natural resources (food) are missing and the crisis could be solved (or mitigated) if more food was found or produced.

Another way to complete it is to say "a crisis of humanitarian nature" since it threatens the very existence of people. <span />

According to primacy and recency effects, when reading the chapters of the textbook, you are most likely to forget _________.
Mademuasel [1]
The correct answer is the information in the middle of the chapter.
This is because the primacy effect refers to something that you've read first, and the recency effect refers to something that you've read last. So the information you got at the beginning and at the end of a chapter will stick with you, whereas you are more likely to forget what happened in the middle.

Please help.
zimovet [89]

Answer: C

Explanation:

Though the North would eventually outlaw slavery, they did benefit from it for a time. The civil war was about more than slavery. The south had a prospering economy because of cotton exports that were earned off the backs of slaves. The north, wanting a piece of that action asked the southerners for more taxes on exports. The south refused. So the north did it anyways, the south pulls out of the union, so the north says "If you wont give us taxes, we will free your workforce..." Or something along those lines. The north is often portrayed as heroes to the slaves, but really, they just wanted money. If you research how slaves who escaped to the north and fought for the union were treated, you will see that the north wasn't a bunch of choir boys.
