Answer:

Your answer is 5.63 × 10^14 Hz

We know the value of the speed of light and we are given the wavelength. All we have to do is rearrange the equation to solve for the frequency:

frequency: v = c/ λ

Now just plug in the given values:

v = 3.00 × 10 ^ 8 / 530 × 10^-9

v = 5.66 × 10 ^ 14 Hz

I hope this helps you.

Given the equation:
Citrus2011 [14]

Answer: a)  Fe is the limiting reagent

b) 3.59 g

c) 11.6g

Explanation:

4Al_2O_3+9Fe\rightarrow 3Fe_3O_4+8Al

To calculate the moles :

\text{Moles of} Al_2O_3=\frac{27.5g}{102g/mol}=0.27moles

\text{Moles of} Fe=\frac{8.4g}{56g/mol}=0.15moles

According to stoichiometry :

a) 9 moles of Fe  require= 4 moles of Al_2O_3

Thus 0.15 moles of Fe will require=\frac{4}{9}\times 0.15=0.067moles  of Al

Thus Fe is the limiting reagent as it limits the formation of product and Al is the excess reagent.

b) As 9 moles of Fe give = 8 moles of Al

Thus 0.15 moles of Fe give =\frac{8}{9}\times 0.15=0.133moles  of Al

Mass of Al=moles\times {\text {Molar mass}}=0.133moles\times 27g/mol=3.59g

c) As 9 moles of Fe give = 3 moles of Fe_3O_4

Thus 0.15 moles of Fe give =\frac{3}{9}\times 0.15=0.05moles  of Fe_3O_4

Mass of Fe_3O_4=moles\times {\text {Molar mass}}=0..05moles\times 231.5g/mol=11.6g

Which of the following correctly describes a compound? The atoms are bonded together, and the compound has different physical an
grandymaker [24]

A chemical compound can be described as substance composed of atoms from more than one element held together by chemical bonds in a fixed stoichiometric proportion. A compound has different physical and chemical properties from its constituent elements.

For example : compound water is made up of H and O bonded together and it has different properties from O and H.

Thus, among the given options, the one coreectly describing a compound is

a) The atoms are bonded together, and the compound has different physical and chemical properties than the individual elements.

A 140.0-g sample of water at 25.0°C is mixed with 108.6 g of a certain metal at 100.0°C. After thermal equilibrium is establishe
AysviL [449]

Answer:

The value of specific heat of metal = 0.3537 \frac{KJ}{Kg K}

Explanation:

Mass of water m_{w} = 140 gm = 0.14 kg

Initial temperature of water T_{w} = 25°c = 298 K

Mass of metal m_{metal} = 108.6 gm = 0.1086 kg

Initial temperature of metal T_{metal} = 100°c = 373 K

After thermal equilibrium the final temperature  T_{f} = 29.6°c = 302.6 K

Apply energy principal

Heat lost by metal = heat gain by water  --------- (1)

⇒ Heat lost by metal = m_{metal} × C_{metal} × ( T_{metal} - T_{f} )

⇒ Heat lost by metal = 0.1086 × C_{metal} × ( 373 -302.6 )

⇒ Heat lost by metal = C_{metal} × 7.64544  KJ -------- (2)

Now

Heat gain by water = m_{w} × C_{water} × ( T_{f} - T_{w} )

⇒ Heat gain by water = 0.14 × 4.2 × ( 302.6 - 298)

⇒ Heat gain by water = 2.7048 KJ --------------------- (3)

From the energy principal

Equation 2 = equation 3

C_{metal} × 7.64544  = 2.7048

C_{metal} = 0.3537 \frac{KJ}{Kg K}

This is the value of specific heat of metal.
